Analogous ratings

How VA evaluates an unlisted condition and identifies rating codes.

What if my condition has no named code?

An unlisted condition may be evaluated under a closely related disease or injury. VA considers the affected functions, location and symptoms. A similar name or a shared questionnaire does not establish the appropriate code.

Diagnostic-code labels and medical diagnoses may use different wording. VA’s rules also describe built-up and hyphenated codes; this search does not generate one for you.
