THE WHOLE PERSON METHOD
Explore how ratings combine. Change an input and watch the result.
Use individual ratings in 10% increments.
Mark eligible paired-extremity ratings below. This tool does not determine whether a disability qualifies. Paired skeletal-muscle cases require separate review.
Each rating applies to what remains, with whole-number table values at each combination. Only the final combined value is rounded to the nearest 10; a final 5 rounds up.
Uses 38 CFR §4.25 table-equivalent arithmetic. The optional bilateral example combines marked compensable ratings for both arms or both legs, adds 10% of that combined value, and compares eligible subset exclusions under §4.26(d) to avoid a lower final rating. Eligibility is not assessed. This is not a VA determination, payment calculator, or assessment of TDIU, special monthly compensation, or entitlement.
